About Penrose Farm
Our Story
Built on hard work, good soil, and a whole lot of heart.
A family farm in Penrose, Colorado
Penrose Farm started in 2024 with a simple idea: grow real food the right way, and share it with our neighbors. Zach and Celeste O’Brien put in the long days — tending soil, raising the flock, and learning the land season by season — because good food is worth the work.
We sit in Fremont County, in the heart of Central Colorado, where the light is bright, the air is dry, and the foothills roll out toward the mountains. It’s a good place to grow things. And it’s a good place to put down roots.
What we believe
Care for the land
Regenerative practices keep our soil alive and giving. Healthy ground grows better food and lasts for the next generation.
Raise it right
Our hens and ducks live on pasture. Our produce is picked at its peak. We don’t cut corners on the things that matter.
Welcome like family
A farm is better shared. Whether you order a box or stay the night, you’re welcome here.
What we raise & grow
- Pasture-raised eggs — chicken and duck, from a flock of about 60 birds.
- Salsa garden produce — tomatoes, onions, garlic, cucumbers, and herbs.
- Seasonal boxes — spring strawberries, summer sweet corn, Palisade peaches & cherries, fall green chilies.
- Pasture-raised beef — with chicken, pork, and goat on the horizon.
